I saw the news about the ghost ship in the Chukchan system today, and went to check it out. It was pretty crazy to think that thing has just been truckin’ along through space for so long. Two hundred years they say! 

The story starts and ends in the Chukchan system, but the real story is farther out. If you go out to HIP 69200, you’ll find a crashed Sidewinder on 1 B, that escaped from the Adamastor. There were some datalogs that I recovered that told of a pretty harrowing escape from… Something. I’m honestly not sure what. The commanders of the Adamastor were apparently leaving party members behind, and had something caged, but poorly.

I have a really good idea what was caged, but if it’s true… and that ship brought it to inhabited space… we might be having a very bad time, very soon. You see I tracked the ship back to a system called Musca Dark Region PJ-P B6-1, and on the third planet in the system, there is a small Geological Survey. In addition to this little outpost is a fuck ton of Thargoid remains, and what looks to be a fairly large crashed Thargoid ship. There was a green cloudy mist around one of the sites, so I believe there were Thargoids there much more recently than the 200 years that the Adamastor has been puttering along back to Chukchan.

Whatever it was, it caused some major tech systems issues for the geo survey outpost and the Adamastor. If what I’ve heard of the Thargoids is even half true, this could be a big issue for humans in that area. I’ll be prepared to help if anything happens.
